Join us on Fridays at noon for a mindful movement practice to slowly awaken the body and calm the mind. This class allows us to reconnect with the more subtle sensations of the body that can get lost in the swirling storm of thought and emotion. Flowing slowly allows us to explore our physical and mental edges in a safe manner and to reconnect with our body and breath without trying to change or fix it. It’s less about getting into specific poses and more about tuning into the experience. We will use the principles of mindfulness to move slowly and with intention in this beginner friendly practice.
Some of the focuses in this class include:
- Breath awareness and simple breathing practices
- Exploring range of motion and new ways to feel movement
- Practicing acceptance and non-judgment
- Accessible variations for all bodies and abilities
- Guided awareness practice and relaxation
